Greetings, fam. I wanted to invite everyone to post high-quality rips in this thread, whether MP3 (320CBR only), WAV, or FLAC format. All forms of lossless are welcome. Any and all genres are welcome.

Please include the name of the artist, title of the album, file type and track listing.

Dead Links

Throughout the thread, there are many links that are dead for a variety of reasons. If you come across an album that you'd like to have re-uploaded, post a contribution (join date doesn't matter) and send me a private message and i'll work on getting it re-posted if it's something that i've posted. If someone else has posted, contribute, and many will have no problem filling a request as long as you're actually contributing.

The participation of others strengthens the threads and overall music section. It gives it more diversity. As Run always says, feel free to post whatever you have. There will be someone who will want it.

Please remember to always include artist, album title, track listing & bit rate.

The board has tools to specify whether a poster would like to "hide" links, or specify a number of posts needed to download links. As veterans of forums know, there will always be more lurkers than actual contributors. Setting a number of posts needed will hopefully motivate a few posters to actually consider contributing, which can be done in a number of ways.
Not everyone will post albums, but there are kats here who offer input, which is appreciated as well.

As an fyi, using the hide tags motivates non-members to join, as you can't skim the board grabbing links without being a member. Please consider using the hide tags to at least encourage people to join.

Think what you might about Rick James, this is actually a pretty darn funky album -- with lots of tight bass-heavy grooves!
Rick's working here with the Stone City Band, in a style that's leaner and less commercial than some of his later work -- going for a mainstream funk approach, but still leaving enough roughness around the edge to make the album appealing to our ears.
In a way, the sound here is kind of a tightening up of Fantasy Records funk, given a few P-Funk twists -- slick, but never too slick to groove soulfully!

In Utero is the third and final studio album by the American grunge band Nirvana, released on September 21, 1993 by DGC Records. The album's abrasive and aggressive sound was a departure from the polished production of the band's breakthrough second album, Nevermind (1991), due in part to the selection of recording engineer Steve Albini. The subject matters of the songs included dysfunctional family, cancer, issues of privacy, and abortion.

"Heart-Shaped Box" was the first single released from the album, followed by "All Apologies/Rape Me", which was released as a double A-side single due to the explicit nature of the latter song. Both singles topped the Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart in the United States. "Pennyroyal Tea" was intended to be released as the third single in April 1994, but was cancelled after the death of the band's frontman, Kurt Cobain.

While In Utero did not sell as well as Nevermind, it was a commercial and critical success. The album was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America by the end of 1993; it was most recently certified 5× platinum, and now ranks in the top 100 bestselling albums in the US.

Bleach is the debut album by the American grunge band Nirvana. It was released in June 1989 through the Sub Pop record label. Bleach originally sold only 30,000 copies, but following the enormous success of the band's second album, Nevermind (1991), fans discovered Nirvana's little-known debut album. It has now sold over four million copies worldwide.

The album's working title was Too Many Humans. It was officially named Bleach in February 1989 after the band's frontman Kurt Cobain found an AIDS prevention poster while Nirvana was driving through San Francisco. The poster advised heroin addicts to bleach their needles before use, featuring the slogan "Bleach Your Works".

The Ultimate Experience is a 1993 compilation album of songs by famous songwriter and guitarist Jimi Hendrix. It features 20 of his greatest hits with the Experience, including live renditions of "The Star Spangled Banner" and "Wild Thing". It was released with MCA Records. All songs were recorded between October 23, 1966 and July 23, 1970.

The "Experience" part of the title is most likely derived either from Hendrix's studio album, Are You Experienced?, from his band's name The Jimi Hendrix Experience, or both.
